How are we in 2023 already? With it being the start of a new year, this means new digital marketing predictions for 2023. To start the year off with a bang we thought we would tell you some of our digital marketing predictions for 2023. 

Chatbots Will Be Found On More Websites

Chatbots will become more useful for marketers in 2023. Chatbots are fantastic for improving user experience. They help smaller businesses and those businesses that are not operating 24/7 to answer any queries and engage with customers who may need assistance outside of working hours. 

Influencer Marketing Will Become Even Stronger

Influencer marketing has continued to rise in popularity over the past couple of years. Working with influencers whether that is on a blog post or social media post can help to get your business in front of a new audience. There are some things that you may need to consider when working with influencers. Some of these things include: using tools to identify influencers. You can use platforms such as Sprout Social to help you analyse current trends in digital marketing and choose from relevant influencers. It may also help your business, if you work with niche influencers, influencers who are slightly more niche and influence in a particular area are likely to cost less and will help you to reach a more targeted audience. 

Vertical Video Content Will Remain Invaluable

Towards the end of 2021 and throughout 2022, social media platforms began to compete with TikTok. Instagram introduced reels onto their platform which is very similar to TikTok in terms of vertical, short-form content. The reason why this video format has become incredibly popular is because they are cheap and easy to make. Especially on TikTok, it can take one video to go viral at any time and thus your business may begin to boom. Creating short-form videos can help to bring your business to life and show the people behind the brand. On TikTok and with Instagram reels you can share content that has been created by other influencers, react to content that is created, create your own viral sounds, you can share product information and direct footage from your team. It is great to get your team involved in the creation of short-term video content so your audience can get to know the people behind the brand, and this shows a more fun side to your brand too. People have now become used to this type of content which is why we think it is going to continue to thrive in 2023. 

Consumers Will Try To Have A More Sustainable Mind

Consumers are becoming more and more aware of the environment and how we all must make small changes to try to be more sustainable. If you see your business as sustainable, it would be a good idea to explain more about your social or environmental purpose within  your marketing strategy. Let your consumers know how your business as a whole is more sustainable or working towards becoming more sustainable.
