How To Grow Your Instagram Organically

Grow Your Instagram Organically

Instagram is currently one of the biggest social media platforms out there. A lot of business owners are now utilising their Instagram in order to reach more potential customers. Instagram is a great platform for business owners and entrepreneurs. However, are you struggling to grow your Instagram organically? Here are our top tips on how to do this.

Engage With Your Followers

You need to create engaging content that your audience will want to engage with. Research creative, engaging ideas that you could create content around. The more engaging your content, the more likely it is that your followers’ will share it.  However, there are other ways to engage your audience on Instagram. Some of these ways are:

  • Instagram live
  • Instagram story stickers i.e. polls, quizzes, etc
  • Reply to followers’ comments and direct messages.
  • Competitions and giveaways
  • Personalised hashtags

Schedule Your Content

On your Instagram insights, you can see what time of day your audience is most active. At Lumos Digital Marketing we always like to create and schedule content 2-4 weeks in advance. There are tons of scheduling tools that you can use. Our favourite one to use is Buffer. Scheduling your content means that you can upload to Instagram at the times your followers are most active, which means you have more chance of your audience engaging with your posts.

Be Consistent

If you want to grow your Instagram followers organically you need to stay consistent. Ideally, you should be posting on Instagram three times a week. If you are not consistent on your socials then some followers may unfollow and find your brand or business unreliable. Consistency is the key to growing organically.

Work With Micro-Influencers

Working with social media influencers is one of the most powerful ways to organically grow your Instagram. However, working with huge influencers with millions of followers can be expensive. If you are a smaller business with a smaller budget, try and get in contact with micro-influencers to help expand your reach.

Use The Right Hashtags

Hashtags are one of the most effective ways to help your Instagram grow organically. Instagram allows you to add 30 hashtags to a post, however, you should only use the most relevant ones. Complete some hashtag research and see what hashtags your competitors are using. A great thing to do is create your own branded hashtag and encourage your followers to use it.

Take Advantage Of Instagram Reels

Reels are short, fun, creative videos that you can upload onto your Instagram feed. Reels are very similar to TikTok where you can add trending sounds and songs to the video. Reels are a fantastic, new, and fresh way to publish content to engage and grow your audience further. Reels are now dominating the Instagram feed so you may want to consider adding them to your social media strategy.

Those are our top tips on how to grow your Instagram organically. We hope these tips have helped you. Happy Instagramming!!
