Working with us

We start with who we don’t work with.

To keep the roster at six and the work senior, we say yes to the right brands and no to the rest. Here’s the line, the price, and what happens next.

The cap is the product.

We hold 6 D2C brands at a time. Not because we can’t hire, but because direct senior attention only holds at this scale. The moment we’d need a layer between you and the people doing the work, the thing you’re actually paying for is gone.

Right now there are 2 openings. When they’re filled, new enquiries join a waitlist rather than getting handed to a junior.

The no list

Most agencies say yes to everyone. Here’s what we turn down.

  • Brands under £25k a monthBelow that, we can’t move enough to justify the fee. We’d rather say so now.
  • Single-channel shopping listsWe sell one engagement, not a menu. Channels in isolation underperform.
  • Gambling, debt & political workRegardless of fee. It’s a line, not a price point.
  • Anyone worth 20%+ of our revenueDependency makes for bad advice, in both directions.

Still reading? Then you might be exactly who this was built for. The cap is the product: six clients means senior people on your account, personally, with no layer in between.

You’re probably a fit if…

  • You’re a D2C brand doing £25k to £300k a month on Shopify or WooCommerce.
  • You’re past product-market fit, but growth has stalled or got expensive in the last year.
  • You want senior people doing the work, not managing juniors who do it.
  • You want a partner who will tell you no when no is the right answer.

What it costs

Priced on the page, like it should be.

Questions we get asked

How much does Lumos cost?

Lumos retainers start from £1,750 + VAT per month, and most clients sit between £2,000 and £3,500 depending on scope and channel mix. Projects start from £2,500 + VAT. Pricing is public and shown on the site, with no “request a quote” step. Every retainer runs on a six-month minimum with a three-month review.

What does Lumos do?

Lumos is a founder-led marketing agency for D2C ecommerce brands, running SEO, paid media, conversion (CRO) and email as one connected strategy rather than separate services. A dedicated senior team works on every account directly. Strategy and copywriting are built into the work; site builds are handled by a separate partner.

Who does Lumos work with?

Lumos works with direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands doing roughly £25k to £300k per month, past product-market fit and stuck at a growth ceiling, on Shopify or WooCommerce. It does not take brands under £25k a month, single-channel buyers, or gambling, debt and politically affiliated organisations.

Why only six clients?

Lumos caps its roster at six clients at a time so a dedicated senior team can work on every account personally, with no junior teams in between. The cap is the product: direct senior attention only holds at this scale. When the roster is full, new enquiries join a waitlist.

How do you measure success?

Every engagement opens by agreeing a core commercial objective, before any work starts. Monthly reporting names the decision, the cost and the outcome against that objective. If the work is not paying for itself within six months, Lumos will tell you rather than keep you on.

Where is Lumos based?

Lumos has two UK bases: Manchester (Denton) and Norfolk (Fakenham). Most clients work remotely and do not need to be near either office, but local brands are welcome to meet in person. The two-base setup is deliberate, giving the founders different markets and perspectives.
